Product Information

Alma Stevenson is a Queenstown based author, specializing in Children’s fiction and historical non fiction. Her wonderful stories have been delighting readers for over ten years. Her career as an author was launched in 1999 after giving away “Old Red” to The Miners Band for them to perform on, and being asked to write a little history on the truck.

Alma has lived most of her life in the Wakatipu area of New Zealand, except for the busy years spent on the farm down in Southland with her late husband, Noel. She enjoys writing about the experiences of developing 800 acres of bush and swamp land into a now productive farm, also of the hardship and hilariously happy times along the way that they had as a family.

Now retired, Alma enjoys art classes, the garden and her beautiful children.
