Author description

Ben Sigmund was born in Blenheim, raised in Canterbury and played for the full All Whites side when he was still a teenager. An illustrious football career beckoned – and was eventually achieved – but it was anything but smooth sailing.

Jason Pine has been involved in the media industry for 23 years and is currently employed by New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME). He is the Operations Manager for radio stations Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport in Wellington, as well as weekday breakfast sports-reader on Newstalk ZB.
