Yi er San: My First Chinese Rhymes (With CD)
Yi Er San takes children on an exciting journey in Mandarin Chinese. There are more than 25 traditional Chinese songs and nursery rhymes to learn and love, with key words labelled and illustrated on every page. The guide at the back of the book includes information about how the rhymes are used and translates useful phrases. With a CD that introduces the sounds and rhythms of the language, children will enjoy learning and speaking Chinese.
*"Yi Er San takes children on a journey in Mandarin Chinese with over 25 traditional Chinese songs and nursery rhymes to enjoy... The accompanying CD introduces the sounds and rhythms of the language and along with the book, makes a fun way to start a very difficult language. The rhymes also give an insight into the culture." Parents in Touch "For appropriate family use the book is lovely and I'd also hazard a calculated opinion that many older children who are students of Mandarin Chinese will welcome this book as a brightly inviting extension of experience as an addition to textbooks and oral exercises" Armadillo *"This book would be an excellent resource for Chinese parents living in an English-speaking country and wishing to help their young children to learn Mandarin..."
