The Rolling Stones started rocking in the early 1960s and they have never really stopped since, be it performing, writing or recording. Band members have changed but the core partnership - Jagger/Richards - has lasted through six decades. The Rolling Stones shows you why, as it describes the characters, events, music and more from the 50-years-plus trip that has been the Rolling Stones.
Glenn Crouch has worked most of his life in the record industry, from punk bands and HMV in London to the offices of BMG and Virgin Records, where he was the senior product manager dealing with the Rolling Stones for more than a decade. He worked with the Elvis estate, Dolly Parton and Michelle Shocked at BMG and with Van Morrison, Iggy Pop, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and 30 Seconds To Mars at Virgin. He is now an independent artist manager. He lives in Middlesex, near London.
The amazing fifty-year story of a talented, hard-working rock band, as written by an industry insider, The Rolling Stones tells it all.; From the early days touring small London clubs to some of the highest-grossing tours the world has ever known, and from two boys meeting on a train to one of the most successful songwriting partnerships in popular music.
